A
small wind tunnel was refurbished to be 45% more energy efficient . It
was also equipped with a robust load sensing ‘balance’ incorporated in a revolving platform. The platform enables measuring the aerodynamic
characteristics of a model at different angles of attack. Hot wire probe to determine turbulence levels in
a wind tunnel. Please scroll down to see more. |

A simplified scale model of an anechoic wind
tunnel (quiet tunnel for noise studies) was built, to try out tunnel modifications. |

One implemented modification is this ‘flush
intake’ in the anechoic chamber. It is
made such that the tunnel can be turned into a classic closed circuit
tunnel within a day. |
